CCI Reagent delivers a qualitative tyrosine screening result in three straightforward steps. No laboratory equipment. No special training. Under five minutes.
Collect a fresh first-morning midstream urine sample in a clean container free from detergent or soap residue. For 48 hours before testing, avoid high-protein foods, tyrosine supplements, and medications that may affect the result — these can cause misleading colour changes.
Remove the CCI Reagent ampule from its sealed packaging. Using the included pipette, draw approximately 3 mL of urine and add it to the ampule. Handle the ampule with care — it contains acid. Start timing immediately.
After 3–5 minutes, compare the colour of the reaction mixture against the reference scale included in the packaging. Record the result as negative, borderline, or positive. Do not read the result after 10 minutes — the colour reaction is no longer reliable beyond this point.
Important: Read the result between 3 and 10 minutes after adding the urine sample. Results read before 3 minutes or after 10 minutes are unreliable and must be discarded.
